The Garage
May 7th, 2006
Yesterday was a very busy day. I decided I had had enough of our garage. Over the last month, we had moved most of the household day to day items out of the garage and put them wherever they are supposed to be, but we still had all our camping, tools, and automotive stuff in a big pile where I should have been parking the truck.
Every garage needs some shelves and a workbench so that is what I spent yesterday doing. I got all the stuff at Home Depot in the morning and spent the rest of the day sawing, nailing and screwing things just the way I wanted. The actual time it took to build the workbench really wasn’t that long, but it took the whole day to move all our junk to it’s proper location. We still had some boxes that needed carried downstairs, upstairs. We found boxes downstairs that needed carried upstairs. There was a lot of dirt in our garage too.
Here is my new workbench:

And here is our nice clean garage with my truck inside now:

Must be nice to have a huge garage. The rest of us have to build our own sheds/work areas.
This leave a comment box is a nice addition to the site.

There was a place for comments on the old site too, it made you register to do it though.
It is very nice to have a big garage. Our builder made it bigger than we put on our plans. We were kind of surprised and he said “You can never have enough garage”.

How are you going to ride your bike with them hanging upside down? With all that space why don’t you put them between your car and truck?

Well, I just get them down when I want to ride. Remember, I’m really really really tall.

Dennis,
I’m glad to see that you didn’t just lay around loafing Saturday!
Love,
Mom
