Add more projects please!
October 1st, 2006
Well, us Muhlesteins only have one way to cope with having too much to do. That is to add a couple more project on top of everthing and try to get that done too.
Last week I got some wild idea to go buy a bunch of lumber. Well after neglecting other things I probably should have been doing instead (like doing a proof of concept for my Thesis), here is what I came up with:

And here are the pipes that are in the way:

Yesterday, I went and got a bunch of pipe fittings to hook the rest of the plumbing up there. Our builder didn’t hook the water to the sprinkler system so I have to do that. I’m not working outside on that yet, but I have to frame around where those pipes are so they need to be done. Anyway, It only took me about 3 trips to the plumbing store to get the right stuff. After that, I figured out it won’t fit with the drain where I put it (and I clamped one of the pieces in the wrong spot), so I have to go back tomorrow and get a few more clamps and then I can put it all together correctly.
I had to move our main water line too. The plumber put it below the floor joists downstairs so I can’t frame there. That wasn’t as bad a job as the other one except that I caught an electrical wire with the drill. Poof went the living room lights. Luckily I had enough electrical stuff to fix that. It was just too late at night. It’s hard to get lots done on Saturday when we had General Conference too.
Anyhow, if I put enough other projects off, we might actually have another couple bedrooms downstairs some time.
