I got cat crap and dog poop for my birthday!

January 14th, 2007

Well, last week I turned 30. One might think that 30 is a milestone age where you ought to purchase something exciting or somewhat special in celebration. Not here. I got cat crap and dog poop. It was the best cat crap and dog poop I ever got before too. I’ll explain.

Saturday I was able to take the day and go skiing with Gayla’s brother Stephen. We found that you can purchase your ticket to various ski resorts for a slightly discounted price at one of the local ski shops. While I have my own skis, Stephen needed to rent a pair and the rental cost was also cheaper at the ski shop. So there I was, waiting in the store while Stephen tried on ski boots. I suddenly had a thought. What if there was a way to get rid of the fog on your ski goggles? I asked one of the employees and sure enough, they had some stuff in little red containers that you just rub on the goggle lenses and it keeps condensation from forming. $5.00 later and I was all set. I also purchased some wax for my skis.

On the way up the mountain, Stephen was assigned to apply the goo to our lenses. He noticed that it said Cat Crap on the container. Sure enough, I got “Cat Crap Anti fog cream”. That stuff is great. I had no problem with fog on my lenses all day long. It was a day to have anti fog cream for sure. It snowed all day and was so windy that eventually, they shut the upper lifts down. The weather didn’t inhibit my vision though. Only the blinding sideways snow did.

Well, later on Sunday, when everyone was gathered around and I had opened a few birthday presents, attention was drawn to what Gayla’s sister Holly brought. She gave me a book all about a dog poop that was left on a soccer field. The story was about the “poopers” and the “scoopers”.. those with and without initiative to get stuff done. It was a pretty good story. It was only after this present was opened that we realized I got Cat crap and Dog poop for my birthday though.
