FireShare Version 0.2.6
June 14th, 2007
I’m excited to introduce version 0.2.6 of FireShare. This version fixes a couple big issues that were plaguing previous versions. In addition, I’m hoping changes to the welcome page help more users understand the importance of setting up their connection properly to use FireShare.
Once again, if you are using the plugin installed from Fireshare.net, your browser will automatically find an update. If you installed the plugin through the Mozilla addons site, you’ll need to manually go and install the new version. I recommend installing the FireShare.net version but I still need more people to go to the mozilla site and leave reviews and ratings. You can do that here.
Here is the complete list of changes for 0.2.6:
* Fix for duplicate frequent item sets listed in Apriori.
* Change Apriori confidence/support in preparation for 0.3 (customizable).
* Change Apriori to run in chunked algorithm instead of thread. (Fixes thread bugs)
* Put the note about the welcome page showing every time to be highlighted.
* 1strun page is shown until a successful connection test is performed. Also change pref name so older clients also see the new page on upgrade.
* Fix running local visit code after getting PEERs from CS can post a URL twice to a peer.
* Don’t re-run apriori if only one peer has visited a resource.
Enjoy!
