That happened to my toe!  Watch out when it grows back!  Mine started becoming ingrown and badly infected so I had to go have the new nail cut off at the podiatrist.  You don&#039;t want that....</description>

		<description>Sure that was an infection?  It kinda looks like it may have been the result of a subungual hematoma.  Considering how it happened, a hematoma perhaps followed by infection is more likely.  Either way, looks like it hurt!</description>

It was very loose though and was about to fall off anyway.  It was pretty painless when I finally took it off.  It was only attached by a little bit of skin on each side at that point.</description>
