Hi, I’m 10 yrs.

Um.. its almost mothers day and I’m making my mom some foot soak stuff for my homemade spa.
It involves Epsom Salt.

Will this Infect my mother’s Toe?

Ouch!
That happened to my toe! Watch out when it grows back! Mine started becoming ingrown and badly infected so I had to go have the new nail cut off at the podiatrist. You don’t want that….

Well, it sounds like you know much more about it than I do. You’re quite possibly right. It was red and inflamed for a week or so.

Sure that was an infection? It kinda looks like it may have been the result of a subungual hematoma. Considering how it happened, a hematoma perhaps followed by infection is more likely. Either way, looks like it hurt!

Sure Did!

It was very loose though and was about to fall off anyway. It was pretty painless when I finally took it off. It was only attached by a little bit of skin on each side at that point.
