Working for the boys.

June 24th, 2007

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been trying to finish the play area in our back yard. I haven’t written anything about what we’ve been up to for a few weeks because this is all we’ve been doing.

Anyway, here are a few pictures:

We worked most of the afternoon and evening of the 9th and by the end, we started to see a little of what was to come. Not enough for the boys to be able to play yet though.

By the 12th, we really were getting busy. Even Matthew was helping. There was a lot of boards still in our garage at this point:

Things were starting to take shape and we had even put the ladder on one side. That is all we needed for the boys to be able to climb up and give me additional help:

We made a little progress before our family reunion, but not much had changed (and I forgot to take a picture.) We were pleasantly surprised to find Grandpa Kinser assembling to roof when we got back. (Thanks for the help!) The next evening I put on the shingles:

Yesterday we really got busy. I had little boys helping me all day and together, we finished it off. It took us 12 more hours to put up the bottom walls, the rest of the shingles, and the tunnel and swings. There are no longer a lot of boards taking up our garage:

Now I’m back to working for Gayla. (Edging, sprinklers, grass, etc.)
