This afternoon I decided to rest on the couch for a little after work. After a bit, I woke up, startled to realized I had dozed unexpectedly. The thing is, what woke me up was this wonderful piano concerto. I couldn’t believe the music I was hearing was coming from my own living room piano. I was even more startled when I sauntered over to learn it was my own daughter, hardly big enough to get up on the bench, that was creating these sounds. I took a picture so you could see too:

Saturday some of Ben’s friends and I went to shoot guns across from Utah lake. As we waited to figure out where we were going to meet with the rest of the gang, some other people that were there asked us if we wanted to check out some of the fun things they were shooting at. One of them had some tannerite. This was something we hadn’t heard of before. The effect was highly entertaining and provided much enjoyment to all around. I found this video on Youtube to show what this stuff can do. This isn’t us, but we were doing the same thing.

Anyway, in addition to the explosive stuff, they built a fire and placed cans of spray paint around. Each time you’d hit one, you’d get the explosion from the can and then all the paint would catch on fire too. It was quite a show. The tannenite blew everything around it a fair bit into the air and a fair bit down the trail a bit. Other items of particular enjoyment for shooting were the propane bottle and the bottles of gas that had flares taped to them. We also shot quite a few bottles and skeets with shot guns. I’ve been thinking it’s about time to get a shot gun.

We ended up shooting 45 rounds with my rifle. It was a bit warm by the end. Now, I’ve got to do some research into where to get tannerite.

he says going backwards provides for front wheel drive so he gets good traction to plow backwards. Too bad he has such small mirrors so he can’t see where he is going.

Last night we went on a picnic and then I took a drive up the canyon to do some obligatory road hunting since we were there. Man I like having a range finder and some better binoculars now. We saw about 12 does.

Well, today when Gayla was driving home, she saw two deer run across from the temple into the fields there. She said they both had too many points to count. They were non-typical cactus bucks.

Hm, I guess I’ll have to start hunting American Fork instead.

Friday I left work a little early to take a ride with my neighbor down the road. He as the same motorcycle as me:

Other than finding out that his bike needs tuned up for our altitude and sucks about twice as much gas as mine does, we had a great time.

Our son Tim must be part Dump truck. Saturday when he was about to go #2, he was standing up on the stool with his pants down, about to sit down and do his duty. He started backup up toward the toilet and as he slowly sat down, he said, “Beep, Beep, Beep”. Then he proceeded to unload.
