This weeks news comes from Scott, Dallin and Tim.
Scott:
Last week I went on a motorcycle ride. The trail was very bumpy so I crashed seven or eight times. On the third time, I cried. And I cried every time after that crash. Finally, we stopped to rest. We ate two fruit snacks and two cookies and a drink of water and took some pictures. There was a stream there and some trees so we made leaf boats to see which boats could float the longest. Then started back down. It was easier than up but I crashed the seventh and eighth times. But then we made it to the end and drove back home. The end.

Editor note: Scott wasn’t as sad as it sounds. He had lots of fun.
Dallin:
I got to go to BYU. It was fun. I got ice cream. I got to go with Grandma. I liked it. I liked getting ice cream. It was cold. I like the ice cream.
I got to go to Clone Wars. It was cool. I saw Anakin and Obi One. I liked it. The end.
Tim:

Tim is a little better at drawing than writing.

Today, Scott decided to make an ice-bowl. He used a balloon to freeze water until it was about 1/2 inch thick. Then the boys enjoyed their frozen water treat.

We had a little outing Friday where we practiced the basics of good motorcycle riding. We also had a some hot dogs, played in the dirt, hiked up some rocks, and ignored the wind that blew all afternoon. Gayla read a book too. Anyway, as for the important stuff. Here are the basics:
1) Start Early
Matthew was sure to get a ride when he saw the other boys playing with the bikes.
2) Stand up
I had Scott riding all around our camp standing up any time he went over any bumps. He was actually not doing to bad.
3) Lean Forward
As long as we were working on standing up, we might as well make sure we sit forward on the seat lean forward too.
Well, we had a pretty good time playing around in the dirt. Seems like we get to do a lot of that since we have lots of little boys to entertain. Scott didn’t master all the motorcycle riding basics yet but that’s OK. We still need to work a bit on the braking and going down hills. I need to get him some gloves and boots too.
